Overview
A Cheka officer learns of an imminent White Russian invasion. The OGPU assigns him a critical mission to stop the attack, leading him into a dangerous game of espionage. The film takes place in 1924. Mikhail Ostanin is an OGPU employee . He is tasked with preventing the invasion of white émigré troops from Poland into the territory of the USSR . It is known that the operation is commanded by General V. A. Ramovsky. In order to penetrate into Polish territory, Ostanin joins a gang of smugglers under the name of his childhood friend, the deceased white officer Janusz Galecki. Ramovsky's counterintelligence chief , Colonel Frantisek Sigunda, makes Ostanin his recruited agent . Most of the series is devoted to the preparation and execution of a terrorist attack - the bombing of a club in the Red Army unit's location . Later, Ostanin manages to become an officer for special assignments under Ramovsky and prevent bloodshed.
